Watch: Swedish House Mafia’s Surprise Return Closes Out 2018 Ultra Music Festival

Your Monday just got a whole lot more bearable. This one’s for the post-high school nostalgia feels.

Dance music icons and fathers of the new age of electronic music, Swedish House Mafia, hung up the headphones at their peak back in 2013, closing out Ultra Music Festival of the same year.

This afternoon, Sunday evening Miami time, the group made a surprise return for the festival’s 20th anniversary. A friend of the trio, Dave Grutman, uploaded a snap of a wall mural in the city a few hours before the show, showing a simplified logo of the iconic three dots.

The rumours were denied by the group’s manager and even Steve Angello himself until the trio walked out on stage to a crowd of thousands for the weekend’s headline set.
