IWC Pilot’s Watches 2021: Refreshing New Case Sizes Added To The Collection

IWC Schaffhausen has launched some exciting new IWC Pilot’s Watches alongside the digital Watches & Wonders event in Geneva these past 24 hours. Most notably, the entire range has been reinvigorated with a fresh ensemble of new case sizes optimised for daily wearing that’ll surely appeal to a wider customer base. Impressively, they’re now all fitted with in-house movements, too.

Check out the new IWC Pilot’s Watches below, and be sure to watch our BH Daily video below from when we got hands-on with the collection back in February.

Big Pilot 43

IWC Pilot's Watches

A fan favourite and the IWC creating the most noise upon its release this week is surely the Big Pilot’s Watch, which is now available in a new case size of 43 millimetres for the first time. The 46-millimetre icon – while an impressive statement – has forever seen some enthusiasts shy away from its intimidating size. Now offered in more achievable case dimensions for the modest customer, the Big Pilot’s Watch also features an in-house 82100 calibre and Pellaton winding with ceramic components which are visible through the sapphire glass back.

IWC’s EasX-CHANGE system – which makes the bands and bracelets easily changeable with the click of a button – is also now available on the Big Pilot, affording enhanced versatility at the wearer’s own convenience.

Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41

Next up is IWC’s Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 on a beautifully finished stainless steel bracelet. It’s available with either a blue or green dial, calfskin strap or metal bracelet. The IWC-manufactured 69385 calibre column-wheel chronograph movement is also visible through the sapphire glass back and is resistant to 10 bar (100 metres). On rubber and in a slender 41mm casing, this sports watch could become a very compelling option for the gentleman who finds himself in all environments.

Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar

IWC Pilot's Watches

Offered in stainless steel with a blue dial is the new flagship calendar watch from IWC, the Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar, a hefty complication that automatically recognises the different month lengths and leap years. IWC’s own 52615 calibre builds up an impressive and expected power reserve of seven days across two barrels.

Big Pilot’s Watch TOP GUN Editions “Mojave Desert”

IWC Pilot's Watches

The effortlessly cool ‘sand ceramic’ is back in 2021 with the release of not one, but two new TOP GUN editions from IWC in a colourway dubbed “Mojave Desert.” Featuring dark brown subdued dials, sand-coloured hands and unique textile-rubber straps, both the Perpetual Calendar and the standard timer complement the United States’ military design ethos. The new timepieces are powered by IWC-manufactured movements from the 52000 calibre family and while neither are limited edition, they are, in fact, limited production.
