If there’s one thing Hennessy understands, it’s that the best gifts feel personal. From 6–18 February, the Cognac house is bringing that idea to life at Chatswood Chase with a Lunar New Year pop-up centred around customisation, ceremony, and a little bit of luck.

At the heart of the experience is an on-site calligrapher, personalising bottles in both English and Chinese – whether it’s a name, a message, or a New Year well-wish. Each bottle can also be paired with premium gift wrapping and a traditional gifting scroll, inscribed with a personalised Lunar New Year message, turning a great bottle of cognac into something far more meaningful.

Celebrating the Year of the Horse, the pop-up features limited-edition releases across Hennessy V.S.O.P, X.O and Paradis, each housed in equine-fronted packaging designed to look as good on the shelf as it does in hand. For those navigating what to choose: V.S.O.P is an easy crowd-pleaser – ideal for long New Year lunches and family celebrations – while X.O steps things up as a premium, statement gift.

For collectors, there’s also The Horse Edition – an ultra-limited, inaugural release in a new zodiac series, with just 50 bottles worldwide. Crafted from rare eaux-de-vie born under the sign of the Horse, it’s powerful, symbolic, and strictly by request (not available at the pop-up).

Beyond the bottle, the pop-up leans into the spirit of the season with interactive touches throughout. Spin the Wheel of Fortune to win Hennessy exclusives like chopsticks and red envelopes, or hang a wish on the Hennessy Wishing Tree as part of the New Year tradition.
