Louis Vuitton is leaning on its roots with its newest eye-catching oversized golf trunk, dubbed the Malle Golf.
Revealed as part of the label’s new “Art of Living” campaign, Louis Vuitton has produced this incredibly unique custom piece of luggage, big enough that when it opens a putting mat with a built-in cup rolls out from the bottom of the trunk so you can sink a few holes whenever you please. Not only that but the sightly LV golf trunk goes all out with its wardrobe-like design, with dedicated space for golf clubs, golf balls and other necessary gear to give you what is essentially a portable green.
Combining the elegance and functional design of a historical Louis Vuitton Wardrobe trunk with thoughtful golf-related touches, the Malle Golf doubles as a nice bit of promotion for the brand’s long-running My Creation service, which produces up to 350 bespoke commissions per year with each item taking up to six months to complete.
The oversized Malle Golf trunk measures around 22.5 x 57 x 22.5 inches with the brand’s iconic monogram prints along with folded hardware on the exterior. Open it up and you’ll find a full set of golf gear and all the appropriate compartments like a Perspex monogram drawer with compartments for golf balls in the main cavity while the door offers space for up to 14 golf clubs. The bottom section of the trunk is where the putting mat is stored and once opened it simply just rolls out for an instant set-up.
Launching alongside the Louis Vuitton Malle Golf is several separately-sold golf-related items from the brand, including monogrammed towels, club head covers, golf balls and tees. And if you’ve got the kind of cash to buy one of these trunks, you might as well go all out, seeing as the Malle Golf is retailing for around US$129.000 ($AU193,283).
