Drake Buys $100K Championship Rings For His Rec League Basketball Team

— 13 September 2022

For all the talk about a “Drake Curse” in professional sports, when it comes to the SBL Recreational Basketball League – which he hosts in his own house – 6 God just can’t seem to lose. After celebrating back-to-back titles, Drake decided to pull out all stops on a championship ring commemorating the occasion.

Drake was determined to go big and go home, so he enlisted the help of the only man worthy of such a task. After manufacturing all of the greatest Super Bowl and NBA Championship rings for the better part of two decades, Jason of Beverly Hills was finally able to land himself a gig working for Drake and his mates.

Back in 2019, Drake actually tapped Jason to make him his own $150,000 custom ring celebrating the Toronto Raptors’ NBA Championship as an honorary member of the team. The piece contained over 30 carats of diamonds, which is the most of any design in NBA history. Last year, Drake called on Jason to craft $50,000 rings for him and his teammates. Mean this year had to be bigger.

This design features 15 carats of flawless diamonds, with two especially large diamonds in the centre that represent it is in fact his second consecutive championship. Every player lucky enough to be a teammate of Drake is walking away with a ring valued at approximately $100,000 each.

“As someone who wishes I could play ball professionally I respect Drake for making his dream a reality with his own league,” said Jason Arasheben, Founder & CEO at Jason of Beverly Hills.

“Drake had a clear vision of what he wanted and we worked really well together to make that happen. I enjoy the challenge of telling the story of the season and incorporating everything into the design and onto a ring, while still using as many diamonds as possible.”
