Drake’s OVO clothing label, known in full as October’s Very Own, is pretty well known for its creative collaborations, tapping the likes of Playboy, Keith Haring and Pen & Pixel of late. The rapper’s label might have just found its best collaborator yet, however, with the launch of the OVO x Mike Tyson capsule collection as the perfect kit for anyone who loves a bit of shadow boxing once they’re a couple of drinks deep.

Iron Mike shared the news of the collaboration to his socials over the weekend, where he was snapped wearing a number of garments within the collection including the cap and coaches jacket. While both of those pieces make a strong statement about your enthusiasm for Mike Tyson, it’s the hoodies, shorts and t-shirts emblazoned with the boxers face that leave zero doubt about who you had posters of in your childhood bedroom.

More than half of the collection features this oversized colourful graphic image of Tyson in his prime, splashed across the shirts, shorts and hoodies which are all available in your choice of red, black, grey and white. Arguably the more interesting graphic is found on the other t-shirts, which have an illustration of the iconic shot of young Mike wearing his cycling cap, world champion boxing belt and holding fistfuls of cash. That’s where my money would go.

The caps are also available in different colours including red, white and black, with the words TYSON VS. OVO embroidered across the front. While not exactly low-key, they’re more under the radar than the other pieces in the collection.

No matter if its for your mate who thinks he’s got the power of Mike Tyson and the speed of Ricky Hatton, or for yourself as a can of Tyson’s career, the latest OVO collaboration collection has something for most. With prices ranging from US$68 (AU$100) for the cap and US$168 (AU$248) for the coaches jacket, it’s not outrageously priced either.
