Looking like something that wouldnโ€™t be out of place in a Bond or Ironman film is โ€˜The Edgeโ€™, a stunning super contemporary home in the north Queensland resort town of Port Douglas. The use of concrete in the buildingโ€™s shell is so prevalent that a lot of the external shots make it seem like the building is just a concept.

Designed by renowned architect Charles Wright, โ€˜The Edgeโ€™ was awarded the Queensland Building of Year 2015 and while it wonโ€™t be everybodyโ€™s cup of tea (itโ€™s been on the market since May), youโ€™ve got to admit that itโ€™s strikingly unique.

Interestingly, โ€˜The Edgeโ€™ only has two bedrooms and was built for a late Sydney industrialist who never got to enjoy the property. It has a 10 metre infinity pool, four bathrooms, a large open backyard, and an incredibly cool master bedroom with a cantilevered granite daybed on the balcony.

โ€œThe Edgeโ€ is now listed for sale for $6.5 million through Raine & Horne.
