  • Aman unveils Amangati, its first-ever superyacht, which officially launches in “Spring 2027.”
  • 183 metres, 47 suites, and capacity for just 94 guests, this “floating sanctuary” is essentially an extension of Aman’s signature philosophy.
  • At the same time, rival luxe hospitality brands such as Ritz-Carlton, Belmond, Four Seasons, and Orient Express are also launching seafaring offerings.

For over three decades, Aman has perfected the art of stillness – hushed corners where design, service, and silence share equal weight – and now, the brand is moving beyond land.

Come 2027, the Amangati will take to water as Aman’s first superyacht, promising the same privacy, restraint, and exceptional hospitality… only set against the endless horizon.

“The vessel will embody the very essence of our brand’s DNA, providing exceptional privacy, best-in-class amenities, now synonymous with Aman, and our signature unparalleled service not yet experienced on the water,” Aman Chairman & CEO, Vlad Doronin, noted during the naming ceremony.

“As construction progresses behind the scenes, our vision remains clear: to create a vessel that not only represents the highest standards of maritime engineering and design but that mirrors the tranquillity of our land-based sanctuaries.”

Built in partnership with Italian shipyard T. Mariotti, Amangati measures 183 metres (or 600ft) and will accommodate 94 guests across 47 suites.

While the scale reads superyacht, the headcount is somewhere closer to a boutique hotel. Each suite will come with a private terrace or balcony, some with plunge pools, all framed by wide windows that seamlessly blend inside and out. On the subject of inside, interiors lean heavily on Aman’s signature references – think Japanese ryokan: timber, stone, and light.

But life on board is set to extend far beyond the suites.

Four dining venues will form the culinary core, from Aman’s own Japanese restaurant Nama to grill and teppanyaki concepts. Elsewhere, a Jazz Club, cigar lounge, and cinema promise evenings measured in atmosphere rather than spectacle.

The spa faces the sea, with treatment rooms that spill onto terraces; the decks feature gardens, whirlpools, and quiet spaces designed less for display and more for pause. As for the stern, a Beach Club provides guests direct access to the water, supported by a full suite of toys and tenders.

As the inaugural expression of Aman at Sea, Amangati is a dedicated venture to translate the brand’s philosophy to open water, extending all the way to the yacht’s propulsion system: hybrid engines supported by battery technology, intended to cut emissions and tread a little lighter.

The project itself is a joint venture with Cruise Saudi – a partnership that offers both strategic reach and the resources to bring a concept of this life ambition. Despite the alliance, Aman maintains full control of design and operation, ensuring that what unfolds on board will remain unmistakably Aman.

Bookings have already opened for full-ship charters and private groups alike, with individual suite reservations expected later in 2025. Early itineraries focus on the sun-soaked Mediterranean, from the French and Italian Rivieras to the Adriatic and Greek isles. Depending on the early reception, you might even spot Amangati elsewhere.

For guests who book passage, the experience will be less about where you go than how you arrive. Salt air, shifting light, the simple luxury of time stretched by water – Amangati is not a destination, but a means of recalibrating and moving through the world.
