Ever wanted to rent an entire village in Italy for you and up to 200 mates? Granted, such a niche probably hasn’t crossed your mind yet, but it should now that the move is possible. Rental company Group Accommodation has kicked off what they’re calling the Rent Your Own Village campaign, listing the tiny medieval Italian village of Petritoli in Le March for lease.

“Petritoli is an authentic Italian medieval village located in an unspoiled region of Italy, Le Marche, near the Adriatic coast, set in a spectacular backdrop of the Sibilini mountains and sea.”

The description above has been taken from the official listing, with Group Accommodation renting out the entire 98-bedroom village for US$1,577 (~AU$2,358) per night. Considering you’re potentially splitting that figure up by 200, that’s just around AU$11.97 per person, per night.

There are only a few requirements, however. Petritoli can be booked for three or seven-night stays and you’d need at least 50 people to make it work.

If you do end up renting the Italian village, you’ll also get a professional catering team available throughout the stay, offering breakfast, lunch and banquet catering upon request.

Le Marche is about three hours northeast of Rome and three hours west of Florence, so wouldn’t be too difficult to reach. Once there, guests will have full use of the village, which includes all the touchpoints of a typical Italian village, from the stone houses and cobblestone alleyways to a Baroque theatre and working Roman cellars.

There’s also a 37-room castle in the town, which is just a 20-minute drive. through rolling hillside vineyards and wineries, from the Adriatic sea.

The Italian village has a solid history dating back 1,000 years, and reportedly has all the facilities of a modern town including all the supermarkets, pharmacies and food stores your group will need for the week.
