Ryan Reynolds is officially the highest paid actor per job in Hollywood this year after Variety revealed the Deadpool actor has been paid an astonishing US$27 million for his role in Netflix’s upcoming action flick Six Underground

Variety‘s annual “Money Issue” delves into the highest paid actors and actresses, revealing some surprising information about who’s making the big bucks. Reynolds is a clear winner after his big payday and is followed by wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Robert Downey Jr. who both took home US$20 million each for their roles in Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw and The Voyage Of Dr. Doolittle respectively. 

Other notable stars on the list include Will Smith, who banked US$17 million for Bad Boys For Life, Tom Cruise, who earned an estimated US$12-14 million for Top Gun: Maverick and Leonardo DiCaprio who made a tidy US$10 million filming Quentin Tarantino’s much anticipated Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

On the female side of things, Emily Blunt leads the charge, scoring US$12 – $13 million for A Quiet Place 2. Other top paid female actresses include Gal Gadot who received US$10 million for Wonder Woman 1984, Australia’s own Margot Robbie who banked US$9 – $10 million for Birds Of Prey and Kristen Stewart who collected a cool US$7 million for the new Charlie’s Angels reboot.
