Remember when it was announced that we were getting that King Arthur reboot with Charlie Hunnam, and there was a collective groan but at the same time, part of us wanted to actually see what happened? Yeah, well, that again, but this time with Robin Hood.

Directed by Otto Bathurst and produced by Leonardo DiCaprio (yes, the same one), the joint will star rising talent and Kingsmen actor, Taron Egerton, as the eponymous Hood, alongside Jamie Foxx as the mentoring Little John. Additionally, a one Tim Minchin will appear as Friar Tuck, and Fifty Shades of Grey’s Jamie Dorman is to play Will Scarlett.

Look, I’ll be honest. There’s nothing about this film that’s justified or necessary. But given the current political landscape of the world, there might be some relevancy to the whole “power-to-the-people” angle championed by the original mythology, and this remake by the looks of the footage. Best to remain mildly sceptical as to avoid disappointment (can’t be let down by something you never expected, right?).
