You can stop pinching yourself because this isn’t a dream. After a decade away from the most influential punk band of the 90s, Tom DeLonge has reunited with Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker for a colossal world tour which includes arena shows in Australia + New Zealand.

The lads have also confirmed some heavy-hitting supporting acts for each legs of this globetrotting tour, with Chicago rockers Rise Against set to join the trio during the antipodean parts of their travels.

Expect all the classics, ranging from ‘All The Small Things’, ‘What’s My Age Again?’, ‘I Miss You’, to ‘Feeling This’, ‘Dammit’ and ‘First Date’; as well as a whole heap of new tracks. Yes… we’re not just getting an ANZ tour. We’re also receiving a brand new Blink-182 album in 2023. What a time to be alive.

Tom DeLonge left Blink-182 back in 2015, handing the reins over to Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba. His return has been rumoured for some time, most recently in August after a tell-tale Instagram post of the glory days.

The forthcoming Blink-182 world tour will effectively mark the first time they’ve hit Down Under since Soundwave 2013, although it’s worth noting Travis Barker was absent on this occasion due to a fear of flying which he developed after (somehow) surviving a fatal air crash circa 2008. The drummer has since overcome said fear with the help of paramour Kourtney Kardashian. And let’s hope it stays that way.

To date, Blink-182 has sold over 50 million albums globally since forming in 1992.
