Juicy Fest is returning to Australia and New Zealand in 2024. In case you aren’t familiar, the hip hop and R&B festival is hinged on 90’s and 2000’s nostalgia with its inaugural edition earlier this year bringing in the likes of Ja Rule, Nelly, Ne-Yo Xzibit and Twista. From all accounts, the tour was a big hit, banking big on throwbacks at a time when Elton John, Billy Joel and Backstreet Boys were also touring Australia.

For its just-announced sophomore outing, Juicy Fest 2024 will broaden the scope a bit and present a mixed bag of names that either had a few hits in the 2000s or ran the whole show for years. Headlining the line-up will be auto-tune King T-Pain as well as “King of the South” T.I, Ashanti, The Game, Trey Songz, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Fabolous, Mario and Keri Hilson.

That’s a fairly healthy list of bangers right there, from ‘Buy U a Drank’ and ‘I’m on a Boat’ to ‘What You Know,’ ‘Live Your Life,’ ‘Foolish,’ ‘How We Do,’ ‘So Into You,’ and ‘Let Me Love You.’ Considering Juicy Fest 2023 reportedly drew in more than 100,000 punters, the string of hits for next year’s edition should see this relatively young festival grow to replace the likes of Supafest and compete with the more R&B-flavoured Fridayz Live tour.

There still seem to be a few more names yet to be announced but as it stands, it’s not a bad roster at all. Hip hop and R&B festivals are, however, notoriously finicky so by the time January 2024 rolls around, we should consider ourselves lucky if this exact line-up is still intact.

Notably, no venues have been locked in by the promoters either. All we know is that the Gold Coast edition will go down at Doug Jennings Park.
