It's been nearly 22 months since The Force Awakens hit cinemas everywhere, ushering in a new era for the cult sci-fi classic, with names like Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega taking over the reigns of the space opera led by J. J. Abrams. The franchise still kept a few of the original heads around (some we've lost off screen in the mean time, RIP Carrie Fisher), but it largely nailed the brief in kickstarting a fresh approach for one of cinema's most famous sagas and rebooting broader fan interest.
We're now just over two months away from Episode 8: The Last Jedi hitting Australian theatres, and Lucas Films have just hit us with the second full trailer for the upcoming epic after we got the first sneak peek back in April. It features no shortage of epic cinematography, but be forewarned; it may contain some plot spoiler for the hardest of hardcore Star Wars fans.
As the eighth installment in the saga, Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits Australian cinemas December 15, with presale tickets on sale soon.
