In the same spirit of the whole ASMR obsession trend – though arguably far less weird depending on who you ask – all the insomniacs out there can now lull themselves to sleep with the help of five (5) newly recorded Tom Hardy bedtime stories; with a sixth due to release later this year.

The endlessly popular actor has recently reunited with the BBC affiliated kid’s channel, CBeebies, to take the lead on their hit Bedtime Stories program – accompanied by his French bulldog, Blue. Such pivotal literary titles Hardy has orated include:

  • Hug Me by Simone Ciraolo
  • Under The Same Sky by Robert Vescio & Nicky Johnston
  • There’s A Tiger In The Garden by Lizzy Stewart
  • Don’t Worry, Little Crab by Chris Haughton
  • The Problem With Problems by Rachel Rooney & Zehra Hicks

Suffice it to say, we won’t be holding our breath for Too Big To Fail or The Tropic of Capricorn given the intended audience is a little younger than you and I.

Regardless of the slight misalignment in terms of age demographics, one may conceivably find it comforting to hear Alfie Solomons showcase his softer edges. Especially in this stressful period of modern history. Case in point, get a load of the wholesome introduction that prefaces Hug Me:

“Hello. I’m Tom. Sometimes, on a day like this, I feel strong and happy. But on other days, I just need somebody to give me a hug. Tonight’s bedtime story is all about a little cactus called Felipe, who just wants a hug too.”

I don’t care who you are – that shit is heartwarming.

We’ve taken it upon yourselves to track down Hug Me and linked it below. If this turn out to be your thing – absolutely no judgement – be sure to check out the remaining Tom Hardy bedtime stories.
