Eschewing the upcoming procession of Watches & Wonders webinars, Breitling CEO Georges Kern stepped into the spotlight to introduce the Premier Heritage Collection, bringing a trio of distinctive releases: the B09 Chronograph, the B15 Duograph, and the B25 Datora.

Paying homage to the inventive spirit of Breitling’s founders (and introducing the *wince* “Founders Squad”) – Léon Breitling, son Gaston Breitling, grandson Willy Breitling – the Premier Heritage Collection has managed to achieve a near-impossible balance of referencing its own 137-year history and incorporating haute horology functionality, while also ushering the brand’s latest propositions into a paradigm of modern relevancy. In a word… timeless.

“This heritage-inspired design with a stylish modern twist embodies some of Breitling’s most famous innovations and revives Breitling’s legacy of inventing the modern chronograph,” says Kern.

“This truly is our heritage revived.”

We managed to get hands-on with the Breitling Premier Heritage Collection last month and were dazzled by the vibrant dials, elegant finishes, and innovative functions, elevating the brand to exciting new heights. Dive into the three new models below.

Premier Heritage Chronograph

Similar to its 1940s predecessors, the Premier Heritage Chronograph arrives in a beautifully proportioned 40mm case. Powered by the manually wound, Breitling Manufacture Calibre B09, this particular timepiece comes in two impressive variants – a subtly gorgeous pistachio-green dial encased in stainless steel ($10,990) and a more stately silver dial encased in 18K red gold ($24,990).

Premier Heritage Duograph

The 42mm Premier Heritage Duograph (also known as a Split Seconds Chronograph), on the other hand, comes in either a blue dial paired with a stainless steel case ($13,990) or a black dial paired with an 18K red gold case ($28,990).

It is, undoubtedly, Breilting’s ‘look at me’ release, housing the mechanical hand-wound Breitling Manufacture Calibre B15 boasting the standout Rattrapante function – “one of the most elaborate functions in watchmaking” – which allows you to measure two elapsed times simultaneously.

Premier Heritage Datora

Finally, we arrive at the matter of the 42mm Premier Heritage Datora – an intriguing combination of time, day, date, month, and moon-phase functionality – powered by the automatic Calibre B25 with 48 power reserve. The stainless steel variant frames a copper dial ($16,990) while the 18K red gold variant frames a silver dial ($32,990).

Each release is also a COSC-certified chronometer and rated for up to 100 meters of water resistance.
