Oliver Cabell’s Low White Sneaker Is The Best Common Projects Alternative

Every man in the know is aware is that Common Projects’ Original Achilles low-top leather sneaker is the best clean white casual shoe in the game.

Made in Italy and featuring all the classic details, including a round toe, lace-up fastening and rubber midsole, each pair is gold hot-stamped with a serial number to remind the keen observer that they aren’t your average pair of Adidas Continentals.

While desirable, they’re also quite expensive, retailing right now for £230 (circa AU$430). If you don’t have that kind of cash to splash, we’ve recently been trialling Oliver Cabell’s Low 1 white kicks, which are basically the same shoe for half the price and a great Common Projects alternative.

Hand-stitched and lasted in Albacete, Spain, Oliver Cabell’s version is made from full-grain calfskin leather from Veneto, Italy, matched with Spanish cowhide leather for the interior lining.

One of the boys in the BH office has been wearing his for three weeks now and would suggest ordering a half size smaller than your usual shoe size, as they run a little larger than normal and can be stretched out after a good session of wearing in.

They’re in such high demand, however, that stock is always running out, so be sure to snap up a pair or register your email for re-stocking updates.
