Iconic English perfume house Penhaligon’s has unveiled two new characters to their unique Portraits Collection, Cousin Flora and Cousin Matthew. The Portraits Collection, which debuted in 2016, collaborates with renowned perfumers to capture the curious and often highly eccentric representations of the British aristocracy.

Each year we meet more eclectic members of the family and learn of their peculiar lives and adding to the fictional story, Chapter 6 of the Portraits collection reveals the tales of Cousin Flora and Cousin Matthew.

The Impudent Cousin Matthew is never far away when things go wrong. Educated, Matthew gallantly takes the blame without contestation and is mildly surprised to cause such a nuisance for the actions of his delightful twin sister, Cousin Flora. A distinctive fragrance for a modern man, it showcases opulent notes of citrus, petitgrain and patchouli.

Decidedly British and attributed to the brand’s heritage, each Penhaligon’s Portraits fragrance is housed in a traditional Penhaligon’s bottle, yet re-imagined with a gold-plated animal head as the stopper. Each character in the unwritten novel is represented by its own talisman.

Penhaligon’s Portraits – The Impudent Cousin Matthew (75ml) – $379
