Netflix Is Opening A Pub In Melbourne With Free Beer

Arbiter of modern pop culture – Netflix – is gearing up for the launch of an epic Melbourne pub takeover unlike anything Australia has seen before. Heading Down Under with the likes of Stranger Things, Squid Game, and Umbrella Academy in tow, the streaming giant will take over The Clyde Hotel in Carlton, turning the venue into the Who’s Watch Inn for just one week filled with a different kind of Netflix and chill. Perfectly timed at the wrap of footy season, the pub aims to prep binge-watchers and streaming savants for the start of Netflix season.

And as some extra icing on that cake, Netflix will be shouting a beer for everyone who rocks up to the Who’s Watch Inn. You’ll have to be of legal drinking age of course, but if you’re planning on bringing the family note that The Netflix Pub welcomes people of all ages.

A step inside The Netflix Pub will be a journey into the beating heart of the streaming service, decked out to provide an immersive session of good drinks, pub food and Netflix-style entertainment. You and your mates can wrap yourself in iconic Netflix moments from some of the best movies and TV shows of the past decade, ripping out some ice-cold Phillip Seymour Frothmans to toast as Netflix season officially kicks off.

In addition to rounds of merch giveaways and other exciting Netflix events, the Who’s Watch Inn will flip the script on the typical pub decor. Every classic pub needs a bit of taxidermy, right? So instead of a deer’s head, you’ll be sinking those beers under a Demogorgon head to celebrate the wild year Stranger Things has had. As for that outrageously violent Korean survival drama series, the pub will also be serving up its own Squid Game Dark Ale.

If you and your mates want to cheers to Netflix with a cold one in hand, then note that the Who’s Watch Inn will pop up at 385 Cardigan St, Carlton from Wednesday, September 28th to Sunday, October 2nd.
