- This official collaboration between Lune Croissant and Arnottโs celebrates the 60th birthday of Australiaโs favourite chocolate bickie.
- Baked in the manner of a classic pain au chocolat, this Tim Tam-flavoured goodie will be sold at all Lune storefronts throughout the coming month.
- Available until Thursday, October 31st.
If Lune, the cult croissanterie founded by former F1 engineer Kate Reid, wasnโt already enough of a vortex for pastry-obsessed foodies; then the news of its partnership with Arnottโs ought to do the trick.
Beginning tomorrow, all of the brandโs store locations โ namely in Melbourne and Brisbane โ will be serving limited quantities of a โspecial edition pastryโ that marries the chocolatey comfort of a Tim Tam with the famously finnicky craftsmanship of the classic Lune croissant.

It could be read as nostalgia baiting of the most flagrant variety; and yet, based on all the images currently to hand, thereโs not a doubt in our minds that these will be selling out multiple days of the week โ with Luneโs infamously long queues unlikely to deter hungry, biscuit-crazed lovers of Australiana.
Conceived by Arnottโs as a special thank you to โTim Tam fans far and wide,โ the Lune x Tim Tam promotion arrives on the occasion of the eponymous chocolate-filled bickieโs 60th anniversary. โI am this close to fulfilling my dream of becoming the Tim Tam Genie,โ says Reid. โWe all have such fond memories with [the brand], and so really wanted to create something that befits such an Aussie icon.โ
The result is an intricate and appropriately loaded play on Luneโs best-selling pain au chocolat. The popular laminated pastry is twice-baked with a filling of chocolate ganache and Tim Tam frangipane (i.e. almond custard), finished with biscuit chunks and a drizzle of milk chocolate.
In related news, industry reporters have also confirmed that the much-delayed Lune Sydney flagship will finally be landing in Rosebery sometime before the end of November 2024.
That, regrettably, means you wonโt be able to put your sweaty mitts on a box of Lune x Tim Tam pastries at the brandโs industrial digs at Rosebery. But, as the worldโs greatest consolation prize, expect a cavernous space that mirrors the scale of the OG Lune flagship in Fitzroy โ now with an omakase-style dining experience attached.
