  • After a successful 2025 debut, “Enzo Ferrari Memorial” Half Marathon of Italy is returning in 2026.
  • With 5km, 10km, and 21km events, the course stretches from Maranello to Modena and includes a section of Ferrari’s very own private Fiorano racetrack.
  • The “Enzo Ferrari Memorial” Half Marathon of Italy race weekend takes place on March 28th-29th, with entry priced at a very reasonable €28 (AU$50).

Beyond the prancing horse, scarlet red liveries, and screaming Italian-built engines, the name Ferrari conjures up one word: speed. And as of this year, the Ferrari association with frighteningly quick pace isn’t limited to cars, after the legendary automaker hosted its first-ever running races. In 2026, the “Enzo Ferrari Memorial” Half Marathon of Italy will return.

Sure, most car guys aren’t necessarily spending their Sundays doing base-building long runs because (obviously) they’d prefer to be behind the wheel on a winding mountain road. But for those who balance their automotive enthusiasm with a passion for running, this is a proper bucket list event.

Boasting a course that journeys from Maranello to Modena – which Ferrari itself describes as the “land of engines, dreams, and passion” – the Enzo Ferrari Memorial event offers 5km, 10km, and 21km events for runners to choose from. The two shorter distances will follow a loop that starts and finishes at Maranello’s Ferrari Museum, while all three events involve running on Ferrari’s very own private Fiorano racetrack.

If running on Ferrari’s own track isn’t enough of a draw-card for all the weekend warriors out there: the inaugural 2025 event attracted some serious running talent, like Kenyan athlete Emmanuel Wafula – who won the men’s half-marathon event in a blistering time of 59:20 (37 seconds faster than the Australian record) – while the women’s event was won by his countrywoman Gladys Cherop at 1:08:23.

A final reason to sign up for the Enzo Ferrari Memorial event is the surprisingly affordable entry prices for each event: if you’re an Aussie, you do need to think about airfares and accommodation, but the 5km event costs €11 (AU$20), the 10km is €15 (AU$27), while the half-marathon is just €28 (AU$50). For context, the 2026 Melbourne Half Marathon is $190 for Aussie runners and a massive $250 for international athletes.

The “Enzo Ferrari Memorial” Half Marathon of Italy race weekend takes place on March 28th and 29th next year.
