It looks like something James Bond in the 1980s might have used to access the underwater lair of his nemesis, but the Jet Shark Submersible is very much a real vehicle and while you can’t yet buy one, you will soon be able to. Designed to offer a completely new experience of cruising your local waterways, the apex-predator-shaped design of the Jet Shark is guaranteed to turn heads no matter where you take it

Unlike your typical private submarine, the Jet Shark isn’t a deep diver designed for extended periods of submersion, instead offering its occupants the chance to briefly dip below the surface before exploding into the air with all the ferocity of a hunting killer whale. With gullwing doors to enjoy the fresh sea breeze and panoramic windows to deliver maximum visibility, it features twin side fins for stability and an oversized dorsal fin equipped with a camera to give the pilot visibility while submerged.

The Jet Shark also houses some serious power, boasting a Kodak Marine Corvette V8 engine to explosively chop through the water or simply cruise along the surface with the doors open. Designed by Rob Innes and Dan Piazza, the Jet Shark Submersible is still in its prototyping phase but is expected to arrive on the market soon, with pre-orders opening later this year.
