Vintage car barn finds are getting harder and harder to find as time goes on, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still some diamonds out there. One such gem is this remarkable 1973 Ferrari 246 Dino GTS, which despite spending the last four decades in a garage, is in astonishingly good condition and has recently arrived on the market via Girardo & Co.

The Dino brand was originally launched by Ferarri at the end of the 1950s, to offer the Italian automaker’s clients a more affordable V6 or V8 powered sportscar, but one that still arrived with the quality of the prancing horse. Its name was a tribute to Alfredo “Dino” Ferrari, the late son of Ferrari founder Enzo Ferrari, and while the Dino brand was used for nearly 20 years until 1976 with more than a dozen different models in production over that time, the Dino 246 is widely regarded as one of the best Ferraris of the last half century.

This specific 1973 Ferrari 246 Dino GTS was born toward the end of the Dino story and was originally sold to an Italian buyer, where the left-hand drive car has remained ever since. With at total of 68,822km on the odometer, this Dino was delivered new to a gentleman by the name of Adelio Negri who lived on the south-eastern shore of Lake Como, before it was eventually acquired by the Campanini family of well-known automotive dealers in 1981 where it has remained ever since.

With just two owners since it departed the Ferrari factory nearly five decades ago, this Dino is in nearly original condition and still has its owner’s manual, tire jack with leather pouch, a spare parts catalogue and even a spare wheel. Its creamy white body (called Bianco Polo Park) is original and distinctly the work of Pininfarina, while the interior is also original in its Nero leather upholstery that remains in good condition thanks to the car having not been driven at all for the last decade.

This rare Dino is currently up for sale thanks to the Girardo & Co. dealership, offering a rare chance to own an iconic sports car in extremely good condition. Its price is only available on application.
