Last year, Aston Martin and Brough Superior announced it would come together for an ultra-exclusive collaboration with a price tag to match: the AMB 001 Superbike. Drop-dead gorgeous, track-only, and powered by a turbocharged V-twin engine capable of producing 180 horsepower. Now, we’ve just received the first look at it in action.

Comprised of titanium, carbon-fibre, and billet aluminium, the AMB 001 marks the first time Aston Martin’s badge has been present on a two-wheeled motorbike. Given its lightweight body, it has a 1,000bhp/tonne ratio – comparable to a Koenigsegg.

“This is what we believe a cutting-edge motorcycle should be,” says Marek Reichman, Aston Martin Executive Vice President & Chief Creative Officer.

“The finished product is a truly beautiful motorcycle – a design and engineering work of art. Everybody involved has managed to make tremendous progress with the development of AMB 001, despite the challenges we have all been facing.”

Now that the initial concept has been fleshed out and the design approaching finalisation, limited production of the AMB 001 will begin later this year at Brough Superior’s France factory.

And once you’re done drooling all over it, you should probably brace for impact – the price currently sits at a seriously punchy US$120,000. Hefty, sure, but consider the fact that only 100 models will ever be produced. Plus you’ve seen it for yourself.
