The Van der Valk Beach Club 660 Is All You’ll Ever Need

The Van der Valk Beach Club 660 was conceptualised by Dutch yacht design house Cor D. Rover back in 2017 – and promised to set a new standard for onboard living in the small-yacht game.

Cor D. Rover took the concept to market, seeking a builder who could bring their unique design to life. Known for their aluminium and steel yachts, Van der Valk would eventually be the one to help make the Beach Club a reality, and in doing so, created a mid-sized boat with an unprecedented amount of volume dedicated to social spaces.

The brand launched the Van der Valk Beach Club 6000 in 2018, and soon followed it up with the 67-foot Beach Club 660 in 2019. Since its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival, the idea that a boat of this size could rival much larger boats in terms of versatile living and entertaining spaces has charmed countless individuals… including us.

The result is a vessel featuring a monstrous swim platform measuring almost 3 x 6 metres, powered by twin 12.7 litre 800-hp Volvo Pentas (cruise speed: 19 knots, top speed: 26 knots), and accessible via hatch or lower lounge.

Sliding the glass doors open reveals steps that lead you down into a glorious open living area, complete with an atrium to the upper lounge, framed by windows, with kitchen and day head to port and starboard.

Beyond the lounge towards the bow, the same level accommodates for guests with staterooms to port and starboard, as well as a master suite. The aluminium construction allows for any configuration the owner desires, including a third guest room that pushes the kitchen further into the lounge.

Winding up, the central staircase opens onto an upper level with a lounge and helm station. Here, you’ll find side decks, as well as a C-shaped settee and sunpads which can reportedly accommodate for a dozen or so guests. As if that wasn’t enough, this section of the 660 also holds the welcome addition of a BBQ and wet bar.
