Malbon Golf is having an absolute belter of a year. From collaborations with Lusso Cloud and Nike, to releasing their own set of custom forged clubheads, they simply can’t stop at the moment. However, for the second time in 2021, Malbon Golf has teamed up with New Balance for another stylish footwear collaboration, using the 997G as their canvas.

The first collaboration that Malbon Gold and New Balance released this year offered a crisp, white colourway with muted forest green highlights, nicely complemented by the natural gum coloured outsole. It’s safe to say the shoe was popular with golfers around the world, selling out promptly.

Now, just before 2021 closes out, we get our second collaboration between Malbon Gold and New Balance, once again using the 997G as a template, but with updated colourways. The natural gum coloured outsold has remained consistent, while the rest of the shoe has been executed in black or grey, both with white highlights.

Just like the first collaboration, these shoes feature the NDurance outsoles with FastTwist 3.0 Pulsar cleats that are designed to give you all the additional grip and stability you might need when out on the golf course. The FastTwist 3.0 Pulsar cleats are also interchangeable, meaning you can select your own colour and type.

Sporting custom logos across the shoe tongues and heels, there’s a subtle but distinct flair to this latest drop. It’s a considered blend of the more conservative culture around golf attire, and more casually creative streetwear style.

With momentum behind Malbon Golf and New Balance as we approach the new year, we’ll be keeping a close eye on what they cook up next. Each style is limited to just 200 pieces, set to go on sale on November 18.
