  • Richard Mille has now established its maiden Australian outpost in the heart of Sydney.
  • True to the in-house philosophy, RMโ€™s antipodean boutique is so much more than a retail space โ€“ housed within Capella Sydney, it also features a meditation room and sports bar.
  • Richard Mille Sydney boutique address: 1/36-39 Bridge St, Sydney NSW 2000 (Capella).

Sydney, meet your newest temple of haute horology. Richard Mille has officially arrived in Australia โ€“ and itโ€™s done so with precision.

This week, the Swiss watchmaker opened its debut boutique within the ultra-luxurious Capella Sydney (the worldโ€™s reigning 12th best hotel, because where else?), effectively planting the flag for one of the most audacious timepiece brands in the heart of the cityโ€™s cultural and commercial pulse.

For Dave Tan, CEO of Richard Mille Asia, the move represents a future-forward play: โ€œRecognising the great potential in Australia, we decided to make a long-term commitment to this growing market by creating a dedicated space for brand enthusiasts.โ€

Itโ€™s a commitment underscored by a unique approach to luxury.

At 270 square metres, the boutique takes its cues from the Richard Mille philosophy of โ€œliving time.โ€ Forget traditional walls and glass boxes. The layout is fluid and open, guided by RMโ€™s signature โ€œbroken glassโ€ motif that subtly defines zones while keeping the space visually connected. The result feels more like a living gallery than a showroom โ€“ a place to explore, linger, and talk, rather than simply transact.

The design even pushes beyond retail into something closer to hospitality. Thereโ€™s a meditation room for guests seeking a moment of stillness โ€“ complete with lush greenery, warm textures, and soft, enveloping light. The boutique pays quiet homage to Australiaโ€™s relationship with nature and wellbeing, offering a kind of sensory reset in the middle of the city.

And nearby, a sports bar not only channels the convivial energy of Australian pubs, but pays tribute to the RM association with elite pro athletes, like โ€œBig Threeโ€ grand slam tennis great Rafael Nadal, McLaren Racing F1 superstars Lando Norris and the homegrown Oscar Piastri, as well as Tour de France legend Mark Cavendish.

Every element is engineered for comfort, conversation, and connection. The atmosphere is tactile and organic, with a deliberate focus on warmth rather than ostentation. It reflects a broader evolution for Richard Mille โ€“ one that fuses the mechanical brilliance of its timepieces with the human touch of its clientele.

โ€œWe always wanted to establish a base in Australia, but we were waiting for the right opportunity to present itself,โ€ said Alexandre Mille, RM Commercial Director.

โ€œOur ambition for each boutique goes well beyond creating a point of sale: we aim to create a genuine experience for the brandโ€ฆ This fascinating country, with its wholehearted embrace of technology, art, and sport, stands out for its independence and avant-garde attitude, an ethos that resonates with out values.โ€

This Sydney opening marks the Richard Milleโ€™s 42nd boutique globally (and perhaps its most intimate). You can find it at 1/36-39 Bridge St, Sydney NSW 2000.
