Just as Supreme is arguably the king of collaborations in the fashion world, G-Shock is the collaborative equivalent in the world of watchmaking, with countless creative partnerships in recent years. It’s only fitting then, that Supreme and G-Shock have joined forces with The North Face for a collection of rough and ready digital watches that can go from concrete jungle to outdoor adventure and back again.
Already this year G-Shock has worked with the likes of Rag & Bone, Bamford and NASA, each time releasing a limited edition that sold quickly. Supreme has spent 2022 in much the same way, dropping collabs with everyone from the New York Yankees and Nike, to Yohji Yamamoto and Swarovski, proving the streetwear brand still has what it takes in a world of ubiquitous partnerships.
Following rumours of a Supreme x The North Face collaboration several months ago, the link-up was confirmed with the announcement of a capsule collection for the Fall 2022 season. The North Face wasn’t the only brand getting in on the action, however, with a trio of Casio G-Shock watches released in the collection that dovetails perfectly with a jacket from the collection that features a see-through panel to read your watch under your sleeve.
The collection uses the famed G-Shock DW-6900 as its canvas, offering a trio of block colourways in yellow, black and white, all of which arrive on matching nylon straps with embroidered Supreme and The North Face logo patches. Another easter egg hidden within each of the watches is the Supreme logo on the digital dial, which can only be seen when the backlight is activated, which is a detail that has been present in previous collaborations between Supreme and G-Shock.
While there’s no word yet as to how much the Supreme x The North Face x G-Shock DW-6900 will cost, they’re dropping on the 24th of November EST.
