Yohji Yamamoto has collaborated with Hublot to bring the world quite the eye-catching timepiece: the Yohji Yamamoto x Hublot all-black Big Bang GMT – a killer statement piece that has opted to go hard in lieu of going home.

On first impressions, it certainly brings the heat in the looks department. Yohji Yamamoto’s interpretation of what a Hublot Big Bang can be in 2020 having elevated the signature aesthetic, resulting in something more menacing and, of course, statement worthy.

As you can see through the transparent face, everything from the hands down to the complication within the case is black. Under Hublot’s branding, you’ll find Yamamoto’s script logo emblazoned on smoked sapphire crystal.

The watch is capable of displaying dual time zones, reportedly with a proprietary module that conveniently allows the time zone to be updates with just the push of a button.

“We are honoured to celebrate the opening of our new flagship boutique in Tokyo with fashion designer super star Yohji Yamamoto,” says Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe via press statement.

“This All Black limited edition we created together expresses a simple beauty through the fusion of Yohji Yamamoto’s black design signature and the complicated GMT manufacture movement.”

This timepiece will be exclusively available through the new Ginza boutique on Chuo-dori Street – currently scheduled to open in May. It will be limited to fifty worldwide. And while an official price has yet to be announced, sources indicate it will likely hit five-figures.
