The Sporting Globe & 4 Pines Open Sydney’s First-Ever Sports Bar & Microbrewery

Victorian-born brand The Sporting Globe has opened Australia’s first ever hybrid sports bar and microbrewery, in collaboration with Manly’s beloved 4 Pines Brewing.

The multi-million dollar venue, located in Sydney’s Darling Harbour at the former King St Wharf site of All Hands Brewing House, is promising no less than 80 taps of fresh beer, regularly led by exclusive 4 Pines small batches, as well as an American-styled menu of all the typical fare like wings, ribs and burgers.

With doors now open, “The Sporting Globe x 4 Pines Brew Pub”  – the venue’s actual name – has been fitted with signature cues from The Sporting Globe’s several Australian venues, including touch-screen booth TVs spanning over 50 screens, loaded with a wide selection of live sporting options.

The space is big enough for 850 patrons at a time, with what’s being touted as the largest beer garden Darling Harbour has seen to date. Given The Sporting Globe, which began in Geelong, now has 15 successful venues under the brand, we’re expecting a seamless experience bringing the typical sports bar experience, which is usually indoors, to the sun-soaked harbour-facing area to make for the perfect summer hang.

Steering the microbrewery side of things, 4 Pines will be offering up guided brewery tours and tasting sessions focused on highlighting choice brews so the lads can get some curated sips in between that pivotal sporting sesh. No details have been revealed on the exclusive brews 4 Pines will be using to kick things off, but given the award-winning consistency and inventiveness the Northern Beaches brewery has shown in the past, it’s safe to expect some fresh, summer-ready flavours on draught.

With all the major sporting events coming up, plus Boxing Day, NYE, Australia Day and Super Bowl 55, the hybrid venue arrives at exactly the right time for Sydneysiders hungry for something new.
