Coming Soon
Weโre acutely aware that, at times, we focus so much on the exploits of Taylor Sheridan that this series might as well be dedicated entirely to him. But if anything, it just speaks to the sheer ubiquity (and tireless work ethic) of the Yellowstone creator and Sicario screenwriter.
The next hot-ticket production involving the cowboy-cum-creative is his long-gestating action thriller F.A.S.T., which will not only reunite him with a few seasoned collaborators, but also see him revisit Sicario/Special Ops: Lioness territory with the war on drugs.
Having floated in pre-production limbo for roughly a decade โ with Gavin OโConnor (Warrior, The Accountant) once set to direct with Chris Pratt eyed to star โ the story follows a down-on-his-luck special forces commando whoโs tapped by the DEA to lead a black op strike team against CIA-protected drug dealers in his town.
Sheridanโs 1923 lead Brandon Sklenar has been cast as the commando in question, alongside LaKeith Stanfield, Jason Clarke, Sam Claflin, and Juliana Canfield. And in the directorโs chair, youโll find Ben Richardson โ the cinematographer behind everything from Sheridanโs extended Yellowstone screen universe, Wind River, and Those Who Wish Me Dead; to Mayor of Easttown, Sand Castle, and The Fault in Our Stars.
โI canโt say anything about it. Unfortunately, all Iโm saying is, Iโm having the time of my life, and really enjoying exploring the character that Iโm playing. Itโs sort of very different to things Iโve done before,โ Claflin recently told CBR.
โI canโt spill the beans, because I donโt think thereโs โ I think itโs very limited information out there at the moment, but for me, itโs sort of a dream come true.โ
The only ostensible downside (at this point in time) is how long weโll have to wait to see it.
F.A.S.T. release date (international): April 23rd, 2027.
Sadly, we might never get the grizzly old man James Bond flick weโve been asking for โ especially not against the backdrop of a Cold War story setting, nor with Christopher Nolan directing. But husband-wife filmmaking duo Hรฉlรจne Cattet and Bruno Forzani have come pretty damn close with Reflet dans un diamant mort (translation: Reflection in a Dead Diamond).
An homage to the Eurospy cinema of the 1960s, this splashy watch centres on John Diman (Fabio Testi) โ a retired spy in his 70s who now spends his twilight years kicking it in a luxurious hotel on the French Riviera.
John becomes fascinated by his new neighbour, who kindles his memories of the Cรดte dโAzur during its vibrant heyday circa 1960s. When said neighbour vanishes without a trace, the old spook is forced to confront his past demons.
The younger John D has been portrayed by Yannick Renier; joined by Koen De Bouw, Maria de Medeiros, Thi Mai Nguyen, Celine Camara, and Kezia Quental.
While itโs already done the rounds on the European festival circuit โ and his cinemas in both France and Belgium โ itโs yet to schedule an Australian premiere (though we can confirm Shudder has already acquired the ANZ distribution rights, meaning itโs on its way). Keep an eye out for it.
Reflection in a Dead Diamond release date (Australia): TBA.

It really is a sign of the times that auteurs like David Fincher and now Kathryn Bigelow (Point Break, Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty) are directing films destined almost immediately for Netflix. But who are we to complain about democratised cinema, like the latterโs soon-to-be-streamed political thriller A House of Dynamite starring Rebecca Ferguson and Idris Elba.
As youโll preview in the trailer above, the basic concept involves US government officials scrambling to and around the White House to deal with an incoming nuclear missile launched by a foreign power. As the warhead cruises towards Chicago, they race to determine who is responsible and how to respond.
Bigelowโs direction aside, this represents the second Netflix project penned by former NBC newsman/senior producer Noah Oppenheim (Jackie, The Maze Runner, The Divergent Series: Allegiant) after another political thriller in Zero Day starring Robert De Niro as a former US president.
Ferguson and Elba are joined by Gabriel Basso, Jared Harris, Anthony Ramos, Tracey Letts, Moses Ingram, Jonah Hauer-King, as well as Greta Lee and Jason Clarke.
A House of Dynamite release date (international): October 10th, 2025, via Netflix | limited UK theatrical screenings from October 3rd, 2025.

Not that we ever intentionally set out to public thematic Screen Times, but in keeping with the running motif of thrillers weโve got going here, we thought itโd be an appropriate time to revisit Michael Mannโs Collateral starring Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx.
Cruise is surgical as Vincent, having undertaken near-psychotic levels of preparation for this one โ including firearms training with retired SAS operatives until he achieved textbook perfection (much like Mannโs Heat, footage from Collateral is now used for educational purposes); and successfully working undercover as a UPS courier so he could learn how to blend in like a contract killer.
In our mind, itโs on par with Heat and Thief.
