A good portion of Star Wars fans might have been disappointed with the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, but it’s safe to say nobody – and we really mean nobody – was disappointed by the prospect of seeing the beloved Ewan McGregor reprise his role as the titular Jedi master. That’s probably why Disney+ has opted to release an exclusive documentary special about the man’s long-awaited return in Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return.

Showcasing the making of the limited series, this “revealing chronicle” from Lucasfilm and Supper Club features never-before-seen BTS footage, fresh interviews with Ewan McGregor himself as well as co-star Hayden Christensen – who reprised his own role as called Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader – director Deborah Chow, and plenty more.

The forthcoming documentary will also dedicate some time to the spin-off’s creature shop, props department, and VFX team. All as equally crucial as the onscreen talent when it comes to any given Star Wars-related project (arguably more so).

“I remember clearly the first time I saw Star Wars,” said Ewan McGregor.

“I don’t think I’d imagined the scale of this series.”
