The Qantas American Express Ultimate Card has always been a solid option for anyone after a new Qantas Frequent Flyer credit card.

With international travel now firmly back on the agenda, now is the perfect time to build your points balance for an overseas getaway. With that in mind, Amex has launched an awesome offer on their popular Qantas Ultimate credit card.

That’s 60,000 bonus Qantas Points (Plus a $450 Qantas Travel Credit) when you apply online through the link on this page by 28 May 2024, are approved, and spend $3,000 on eligible purchases on your new Card within the first 3 months. T&Cs apply. Available for New American Express Card Members only.

This card is a must-have for Qantas Frequent flyers with an uncapped 2.25 points earned on Qantas spending, and 1.25 points earned per dollar on regular spending.

With a $450 Qantas travel credit that covers the $450 annual fee, two complimentary passes to The Centurion® Lounge per year, and two complimentary Qantas lounge passes, the Qantas American Express Ultimate Card is a ripper.

The Qantas American Express Ultimate Card In Detail

As always, the most premium rewards cards come with a higher annual fee, which is $450 on the Qantas Amex Ultimate card. But that fee is reduced to zero when you consider the value of the yearly $450 Qantas travel credit, and well past zero once you add in the 60,000 Qantas Points signup bonus, and a raft of other benefits.

When you apply online by 28 May 2024, are approved, and spend $3,000 on your new Card within the first 3 months. (Offer available to new Card Members only), you’ll get:

  • 60,000 Qantas Points after spending $3,000 within 3 months
  • $450 Qantas travel credit each year
  • 2.25 Qantas Points per $1 spent on eligible Qantas products and services
  • 1.25 Qantas Points per $1 spent on eligible purchases
  • 0.5 Qantas Points per $1 spent with government bodies in Australia
  • After a total of 100,000 Qantas Points is earned in a calendar year, the everyday earn rate will change from 1.25 to 1 Qantas Point per $1 spent.1 For Card Members who applied for the Card between 1 July 2023 – 9 January 2024, this change will come into effect from 10 July 2024.
  • Enjoy uncapped Qantas Points earning potential for every dollar you spend on your Card

How Far Can 60,000 Qantas Points Take You?

The fun part comes after you reach the minimum spend and Amex credits your account with 60,000 Qantas Points. That’s enough points to get you many places in the world and certainly enough to experience the pointy end of the plane on select routes.
