  • New York Cityโ€™s Shake Shack is opening a temporary outpost Down Under for the 2026 Australian Open.
  • Punters can expect the franchiseโ€™s signature burgers (made from Aussie beef) as well as an exclusive AO Shake to commemorate the grand slam.
  • The 2026 Australian Open officially commences on January 12th before wrapping up on February 1st.

In addition to local favourites such as Vicโ€™s Meat, Entrecรดte, and the Malaysian dons over at Ho Jiak, the Australian Open has confirmed its 2026 food program will also be headlined by the internationally renowned Shake Shack.

Arriving with its maiden Aussie pop-up in TOPCOURT and John Cain Arena, the iconic burger chain โ€“ which hails from New York Cityโ€™s Madison Square Park โ€“ is set to serve elevated American classics made from quality homegrown Angus beef, including the signature ShackBurger, along with an exclusive yet-to-be-revealed AO Shake.

โ€œWeโ€™re committed to making the AO not just the best Grand Slam on court, but also the best off-court, and food and drink are central to that experience,โ€ said Fern Barrett, Tennis Australiaโ€™s Head of Product Growth & Innovation.

โ€œFrom headline international debuts such as Shake Shack, to our popular AO exclusive items like Peach Melbourne and Grey Goose Lemon Ace, weโ€™re offering something fans can only experience at the AO.โ€

Barrett continued: โ€œFor many fans, their first Shake Shack burger or shake will be part of their AO 2026 experience, which is so exciting. Shake Shackโ€™s arrival at the AO underlines how much this event has grown beyond the court โ€“ itโ€™s a festival of food, sport, and culture.
