Fans of HBO’s Succession will be well aware the Roy family counted some serious real estate in its property portfolio, including one of the tallest residential buildings in New York as Kendall’s very own skyscraping penthouse. Well, that exact penthouse at 35 Hudson Yards has just sold in real life, with some of the very best views Manhattan has to offer and for the billionaire-worthy price of US$35 million (AU$54,406,975).

The property includes the entire 90th floor of the new building and spans no less than 10,171 square feet, offering 360-degree views of the city and boasting the highest outdoor decking area in all of New York. While the $54 million price that was paid for the penthouse is nothing to sniff at, it’s a lot more affordable than the listing price of US$59 million (AU$91,714,615) that the residence was originally advertised at, speaking to the economic headwinds felt across every industry.

In total, the penthouse at 35 Hudson Yards contains five bedrooms and eight bathrooms, with large outdoor balconies and can be accessed from the ground via a private elevator. Upon arriving through the enormous entrance foyer, you’ll be greeted by 14-foot high ceilings, immaculately installed French Oak floorboards, high-end appliances from Gaggenau and premium cabinetry from Smallbone of Devizes.

The penthouse also contains an enormous living room with twin fireplaces, a home office, a gym and more. But if that wasn’t enough, you need only pop down the elevator to access the incredible facilities in the building, including an Equinox Club and Spa, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and the Electric Lemon restaurant owned by Stephen Starr.

As far as the home’s Succession feature, it was in the Too Much Birthday episode that the penthouse was enjoyed as the perfect backdrop for Kendall to prepare the lavish “The Notorious KEN: Ready to Die” party. If ever there was a spot to plan one of the events of the year for New York’s elite, this is it.
