If you’ve ever ridden a jet ski, you’ll know exactly how powerful and responsive jet propulsion can be, which is exactly why the new Sanlorenzo SP110 is so bonkers. With a top speed of 40 knots, this 33m (108ft) jet-powered yacht might not be the biggest in the marina, but it’ll certainly offer some of the most fun.

The design of the SP110 is fresh off the drawing board but is already in production being built in Italy by the team at Sanlorenzo, who continues to be well-loved by their client’s thanks to decades of history creating quality tailor-made motor yachts. As the new model within the SP family (standing for Smart Performance), the SP110 is a truly modern build that considers its impact on the environment thanks to its impressive fuel efficiency and roof-fitted solar panels that power the interior.

Just as the exterior is balanced and restrained, the interior is a study in elegant luxury, spanning two levels that include four guest cabins, two living spaces, a dining area and a kitchen. Designed by Lissoni Associati, the interior of the boat also opens up onto a substantially sized aft deck, with an extendable swimming platform and couches for sunbaking.

It’s far from all style and no substance, powered by a trio of MAN V12 engines that deliver 2000 horsepower that can cruise at 34 knots (with the previously mentioned 40 knot top speed), and decent range thanks to the 12,000-liter fuel tank. Seriously, if you want to enjoy a couple of weeks in summer with half a dozen of your nearest and dearest, it doesn’t get much better than this.

“The SP110 tries to question some of the classic features of performance boats as we have come to know them,” explained the co-designer Bernardo Zuccon from Zuccon International Project.

“While maintaining the style features that, through the years, have come to characterize this type of boat, including the aerodynamic and highly organic surfaces, we reached a compromise with Antonelli and created a boat that makes a point of the dialogue between dynamism and livability that is not normally perceptible on a yacht this size.”

While there’s no word on pricing yet, it’s understood that Sanlorenzo will begin delivering the SP110 yacht before the end of 2022.
