JJJJound x Salomon XT-Wings 2

Best Sneaker Releases May 2023

Montreal-based design studio JJJJound has gone from strength to strength over the last couple of years and this partnership with Salomon is evidence of both teams having their finger firmly on the pulse of what the people want. Popping with blue details while maintaining a crisp white visual impression the XT-Wings 2 silhouette arrives as an ideal summer shoe contender.

Palmes x Blackstock & Weber Loafer

Best Sneaker Releases May 2023

In just a few years Palmes Tennis Society has grown into a name you need to know and recently tapped New York footwear specialists Blackstock & Weber to create the perfect court-side loafer. With scruffy white felt uppers and soles specially designed to be made new again, it’s another shoe made for the summer, albeit in a different context to the aforementioned Salomon’s

norda 002

Best Sneaker Releases May 2023

A couple of years on from the release of its debut shoe, norda returns with the aptly named 002. Offering a pleasing fusion of form and function, the sleekly swooping uppers are constructed from indestructible bio-based Dyneema, while the Vibram midsole is as rugged as they come. Built for running fast on rough terrain.

Engineered Garments x K-Swiss Classic GT

As one of the oldest silhouettes that remain in the K-Swiss catalogue, the Classic GT was the obvious choice for a collaborative canvas with Daiki Suzuki’s Engineered Garments label. Offered in a trio of black, brown and white colourways, the upper design is something of a metaphor for the meeting of past and present with each shoe split down the middle with half-constructed from grain leather, contrasting the half-furry suede. A clean look from afar that gets better the closer you see it.

Marine Serre MS-Rise 22

This year, the LVMH Prize-winning French designer Marine Serre has announced its debut sneaker design in the MS-Rise 22. Offering plenty of similarities to the popular XC-72 from New Balance, including the outsole wrapping around the forefoot and the suede blended upper, it’s a solid addition to any weekly roster.

Nike Zoom Vomero 5

Nike has been giving a lot of love to the Zoom Vomero 5 range of late, releasing a number of solid colourways, but it’s these triple black kicks that caught our eye as a minimal approach to the detail-heavy design. With synthetic suede and plastic accents, they’re the kind of shoe you could daily without thinking twice.
