Hot on the heels of the maxo-relaxo HOKA Ora Primo recovery shoe, French footwear label HOKA has collaborated with the team at BLACK COMME des GARÇONS for what appears to be the SR-71 Blackbird of sneakers.

Not only are these almost identical to the non-CdG TC 1.0 model, but their triple-black silhouette makes for a shoe that silently screams “IYKYK.”

First spotted during COMME des GARÇONS’ recent Paris Fashion Week presentation, the collaboration is in tandem with the Japanese couture brand’s more accessible ‘BLACK’ diffusion label (best known for its minimalist designs).

The only way you’ll be able to spot the difference between the CdG collaboration and HOKA’s mainline version is the presence of contrasting white BLACK COMME des GARÇONS branding on the interior of the tongue, as well as a pair of gold hoops adorning the shoe’s eyelets.

It’s a truly pared-back link-up between the two global brands, featuring black mesh uppers with concentrically circling stripes; a quintessentially stacked HOKA midsole; and the classic Vibram outsoles we all know and love. The triple black colourway feels appropriate for a shoe with CdG branding, giving fans of either label a lot to love all wrapped up in a single release.

At the time of writing, there’s no word on a release date or pricing for the HOKA x COMME des GARÇONS TC 1.0; but we imagine they’ll be priced at a premium — as compared to the regular TC 1.0, which currently retails for US$220 ($335).
