It looks like gamers will soon be able to play the latest Call of Duty games on the go as Microsoft confirms it has signed a 10-year contract with Nintendo. The agreement, aiming to bring Xbox games to Nintendo consoles, was announced via social media by Microsoft’s president and vice chairman Brad Smith earlier this week, making the Xbox x Nintendo deal, which has been rumoured since late last year, official.

“Microsoft and Nintendo have now negotiated a signed a binding 10-year legal agreement to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo players – the same day as Xbox, with full feature and content parity,” wrote Smith, who also implied that the deal extended to other Xbox games and Activision titles.

The confirmation comes as Microsoft edges closer to completing its $96 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard. That is, the publisher behind titles like Call of Duty, Diablo, and World of Warcraft. That high-profile sale was confirmed earlier this year and is more than likely currently being put under the magnifying glass by the appropriate regulators before it’s finally completed.

The last time a Call of Duty game was on a Nintendo console was in 2013 when the middling Call of Duty: Ghosts was released for the Wii U. Since then, the military FPS series has only gotten stronger with pearlers like Call of DutyModern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. With those potentially coming to the Nintendo Switch, your long-haul flights are about to get a lot easier.

Being able to play Call of Duty anywhere and anytime is a solid enough reason to invest in a Nintendo Switch, but with Smith also implying other Xbox games were part of the deal, we’re hoping for portable Gears of War and Microsoft Flight Simulator.
