Before the first season of 007โ€™s Road To A Million has a chance to premiere, the team over at Amazon Prime Video have already decided to re-open casting for their forthcoming James Bond reality series.

โ€œWeโ€™re now searching for more dynamic duos to jet set across the globe using their wits and general knowledge to answer questions hidden around the world,โ€ reads the 007โ€™s Road To A Million casting call.

โ€œYou donโ€™t have to be a Bond fan to apply but we are looking for teams of two that are very close in their relationship and who would enjoy an adventure.โ€

It adds: โ€œFilming is due to take place throughout 2024 and you will be away from home, possibly out of the UK, for short periods.โ€

For context, 007โ€™s Road To A Million season 1 โ€” hosted by Brian Cox (Succession) โ€” has taken contestants to iconic Bond cinema-related locations; placed everywhere from the Scottish Highlands and Venice to Jamaica in the pursuit of that titular ยฃ1 million ($1.9 million) cash prize. Think Amazing Race meets the storied spy franchise.

This project has apparently been in development at Prime Video for over four years, long before Amazonโ€™s $11.5 billion acquisition of MGM was finalised, and โ€œsits separately to any shows that are yet to come out of the pact.โ€ The latterโ€™s ownership of James Bond is, however, believed to be the โ€œdriving forceโ€ behind the formerโ€™s desire to break out Bezosโ€™ war chest.

Produced by Britainโ€™s 72 Films (The Rise of the Murdoch DynastyAll or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur) alongside longtime mythology gatekeepers/franchise custodians/producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, MGM Alternative, as well as Eon.
