Byron Bay is generally the northern-NSW location that comes to mind when you’re thinking of Australia’s best beach properties, but Lennox Head can play with the best of them too. Listed for sale last week is 40 Blue Seas Parade, an absolutely bonkers mansion complete with limitless views of the Pacific Ocean, and all the trimmings you’d expect for the $25 million asking price.

Sure, it’s a fair chunk of change, but you’re getting a lot for your money, especially if you appreciate a good view when you see one. The dwelling is an impressively recent build, with the property last being sold as a vacant lot back in 2016 (for $1.5 million), then described as a “superb blank canvas to design your dream home.”

The buyers back then understood the potential of such a canvas and got to work designing and constructing a five-bedroom, four-bathroom, six-car garage masterpiece that the Old Masters would have been impressed by. Constructed on the large 1,162-square metre lot, the design team converted 566 square metres of the space into the floorplan of the home, with balcony views that are designed to make you feel like you’re floating above the ocean.

The multi-level structure boasts windows that reach all the way to the soaring 6-metre high ceilings, blurring the lines between the entertaining spaces inside and out, only further emphasising the incredible views. The significantly sized kitchen is bordered by a large island bench, with tastefully selected fixtures and fittings and a butler’s pantry

The blended spaces include a separate undercover area outdoors for alfresco dining, while the inside dining and living spaces flow seamlessly from one to the other. To reach the other levels, you have the choice of a magnificent wooden staircase or a mirrored elevator, which will take you to the bedroom and a mezzanine workspace.

The master bedroom enjoys the premium finishings of sawn-cut lava stone walls, American oak cabinetry and even privately imported Egyptian heavy limestone floor tiles. With a massive ensuite, floating balcony, inbuilt entertainment and a walk-in wardrobe, the master bedroom covers an incredible 122 square metres (the size of most two-bedroom apartments).

While the beach isn’t far away, the home also has a 13-metre infinity-edge pool if you can’t be bothered with the journey, complemented by a purpose-built and fully fitted entertaining area. We aren’t saying this is the best private party venue in NSW, but it’s up there with the best of them.

There isn’t exactly a shortage of sprawling luxury homes in Lennox Head part of the world, although 40 Blue Seas Parade is certainly one of the most visually striking. As you’d expect for such a grand home, it arrives with a price tag to match, but with what the compound has to offer, you’re essentially buying one of the most compelling properties available on the market.
