We know Apple Watches can wake us up at the best time in our sleep cycle, but what about a pair of headphones that keep you from getting distracted when you’re focused, and even suggest breaks when you aren’t? That’s exactly what we’ve got with the all-new Master & Dynamic x Neurable MW75 Neuro headphones.

In what is described as a technological first for the audio industry, these headphones are equipped with an AI-powered Brain-Computer Interface that monitors your brainwaves and self-adjusts to enhance productivity and enjoyment. The renowned Master & Dynamic headphones have been paired with tech developed by the folks at Neurable, leveraging a set of 12 EEG channels with dry fabric EEG sensors (essentially, electrodes capturing brainwave activity).

These sensors can track your focus and stress levels, automatically applying Do Not Disturb mode on your phone, or suggesting A timeout for a quick concentration recharge. Based on your typical workflow and ability to concentrate, the headphones will also produce a detailed report that suggests what your ideal working schedule looks like.

The Master & Dynamic x Neurable MW75 Neuro headphones also feature custom-made 40mm Beryllium drivers for high-quality sound, and eight microphones for excellent noise cancellation and filtering. They enjoy 32 hours of battery life, which shrinks to eight hours with the ANC and EEG functionality on.

Arriving in a quartet of different colours (onyx, olive, navy, argent), these futuristic bits of kit don’t come cheap. If you’re keen to try them out for yourself, expect to pay US$649 (AU$962).
