2021 marks the 25th anniversary of a certain Adam Sandler classic involving gators, eating little pieces of shit for breakfast, and of course golf. In celebration of the quarter-century milestone, Team TaylorMade decided to gather some of the sport’s greatest names – ranging from Tiger Woods to Rory McIlroy – for the Happy Gilmore Swing Challenge.

Filmed prior to Woods’ recent car crash, the objective was exactly what the name suggests: each bloke was handed their very own custom Happy Gilmore-style hockey jersey, complete with their names printed on the back, and asked to recreate the iconic run-up swing. Results varied.

As you’d expect from a 15-time major winner of his calibre, Tiger Woods sent it straight down the middle, driving the ball over 260 years towards the fairway’s centreline. Rory McIlroy, on the other hand, put on the worst performance by far, despite being renowned for this aspect of the game (although many have noted he was the only one to demonstrate a movie-accurate swing).

Woods and McIlroy were joined by Dustin Johnson, Collin Morikawa, Matthew Wolff, and Tommy Fleetwood.
