With Blues Fest cancelled, Splendour in the Grass twice delayed, and Dark Mofo still a little while away, in the past year or so, there’s been a disturbing lack of full-scale music festivals in Australia’s cultural diet (for obvious reasons). In response to this uniform deficit, the minds behind Wine Machine and Snow Machine have now put together a killer three-day affair complete with a stacked line-up, resort + yacht packages, located in an idyllic, sun soaked corner of the Whitsundays. This is: Dream Machine music festival.
Headlined by national icons Flight Facilities and Hayden James, the winning combination of tunes, a tropical geography, and boats should easily make up for any festival-related heartbreaks encountered throughout 2020/2021. It would, however, be a missed opportunity to limit exploration to the bar and dancefloor – which is why the itinerary promises so much more than boogies and bevs.
Beyond the dining and relaxation + wellness offerings to be enjoyed by those who choose to bunk at Daydream Island Resort, you’ll also get to island hop between Daydream Island itself, Paradise Cove, as well as a “surprise location”.
