Around this time last year, we stumbled across a full-sized 1:1 replica of the Ferrari SF71H F1 steering wheel, brought to you by the talented folks over at Amalgam Collection. Based on the very same kit used by past world champions such as Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen during the 2018 season, the only real drawback was its hefty $6,500 price tag. These holidays, however, you’ll be able to snag a downscaled 1:4 replica of the SF90 F1 steering wheel for a far more reasonable $315.

Based on a combination of original CAD data supplied by Ferrari and over 1,000 reference images to ensure every detail has been captured as accurately as possible, this faithful recreation of Ferrari’s 2019 contender is handcrafted from resin, carbon fibre, and stainless steel “under the watchful eyes of the engineering and design teams”.

With dimensions of 9 cm x 7 cm x 7.5 cm, while it certainly won’t be as impressive as the full-sized SF71H, it’ll still be quite the stocking stuffer for any budding Formula One fan out there. Hell, considering it comes in a tidy little presentation case, it could even replace the old elf on a shelf and become your new holiday mantlepiece fixture.

Those of you interested in the Ferrari SF90 F1 steering wheel replica might want to get a move on – Amalgam Collection will only offer 250 examples in total. And given its very reasonable price points (or at least reasonable in comparison to $6.5K), it’ll likely sell out faster than this year’s SF1000.
