Every week, Boss Hunting’s editors spend far too much time scouring the web: in search of the coolest gear, food & drink deals, and destinations worth trekking to across the globe.
In this week’s edition of Good Finds, we’ve got the “revolutionary” 3D-printed Nike Air Max 1000, Oakley Tailend Tis, Archie Rose’s delectable whisky-infused striploin steak, and more.

Nike Air Max 1000
The future is 3D-printed as Nike partners with German start-up Zellerfeld to reinvent the iconic Air Max silhouette.
The “revolutionary” Nike Air Max 1000 is essentially constructed from a single piece of recyclable material that eliminates any need for laces, straps, or what have you… Its elastic form essentially wraps perfectly around the foot. A “wearable sculpture,” if you will.
“The soft, responsive design blends a utilitarian build with plush support and jaw-dropping looks,” explains Zellerfeld.
“Wavy patterns and textured tooling throughout the upper mimic the original Air Max 1 mudguard, creating depth and complexity. The laceless design makes it simple to slip into the familiar feeling of Max Air-infused bliss.”
On the topic of aesthetics, the Air Max 1000 is also a direct nod to the Air Max 90 (down to the visible air unit in the sole), and will soon be available to purchase in an “Oat” and black colourway later this month. Find out more launch details below.
Tommy Hilfiger US SailGP Team Collection
Designed at the intersection of high-performance sport and modern style, this collection draws inspiration from both the intensity of the race and Tommy Hilfiger’s archives.
Combining iconic nautical elements with innovative technical features to make it wearable for life off-deck (“born on the water and built for the city”), the hero piece is undoubtedly the heavy-duty, colour-blocked flag jacket with a three-layer fabric construction and water-resistant finish.
Other highlights include a performance polo made from a sweat-wicking fabric with UV, an athletic ripstop sailing jacket that blocks the wind with a mesh lining, as well as a heavyweight knit hoodie, graphic tees, and a colour-blocked sweater. All race-ready, all style-approved.
The Tommy Hilfiger US SailGP Team Collection is now available to purchase (browse at your own leisure below).
Oakley Tailend Ti (Revived)
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of its release, Oakley has teamed up with Vancouver-based retailer Haven to resurrect the Tailend shades.
Originally launched back in 2015 during the brand’s experimental phase, and born from the legendary X-Metal series, it distilled Oakley’s most ambitious designs into a pair of glasses you could wear daily.
Unfortunately for international enthusiasts, this titanium reissue will be exclusive to Haven with an online release later down the track (an in-person pre-release occurred in Vancouver earlier this month).
Best try your luck out on the grey market.
Archie Rose x Poetica Bar & Grill
Archie Rose Distilling Co. and Poetica Bar & Grill have united for a cuisine-whisky collaboration that goes beyond your usual paired degustation.
Taking centre stage for this partnership is their Whisky-Aged Riverina Striploin MBS 3+: a premium cut that’s been dry-aged and slow-infused with Archie Rose’s award-winning Single Cask whisky.
Weeks of maturation have effectively deepened the flavour, delivering an intensely rich and buttery texture that’s apparently “like nothing else on Sydney’s menus.” And in true Poetica-fashion, it’ll be cooked over an open-flame grill to draw out that complex smoky taste.
This unique dish is set to be celebrated at a one-night-only dinner dubbed ‘The Whisky Slow Down,’ taking place on August 20th from 6 PM at Poetica Bar & Grill. The beef will even be fired over repurposed whisky barrel staves for an even deeper, richer, and smokier result.
The four-course affair with Archie Rose whisky pairings and canapes included is only priced at $120 PP. Diners can expect the likes of coal-seared calamari with fermented white corn matched alongside Heritage Red Gum Cask Single Malt, and Poetica’s flambadou oyster kissed with molten beef fat and lifted with a sharp whisky highball.
As for the diners who are unable to attend the culinary event of the quarter, fear not… that headline-making striploin will also be showcased on Poetica’s à la carte menu for the entirety of this month.
