— Updated on 12 March 2020

Whether you’re looking for a cheeky summer getaway with the other half, or a week partying with the boys, there’s no better spot than the Indonesian island of Bali. This island paradise is well known for offering value for money, especially for Australians, so there’s no reason why you shouldn’t chip in a little extra and splurge on an upmarket villa with all the trimmings.

Renting a villa with a private spa or breathtaking views might cost you a couple grand anywhere else in the world, but in Bali, you can experience the very best luxury villas for a fraction of the cost. So book some time off work, sort out your summer travel kit and prepare to be treated like a king in Bali’s coolest luxury villas.

Chimera Villas, Seminyak

Situated in the heart of bustling Seminyak and a short walk to the beach, Chimera Villas are all about value for money in a luscious and inviting setting. Like most villas in Bali you have access to your own swimming pool, but unlike other properties, the outside pool and garden area is huge, with ample amount of space the perfect place to host friends.

Each room contains modern fittings with a natural Balinese influence, large en-suite bathrooms and an American-style kitchen. If you want to be close to the action of Seminyak without being woken by loud music or drunk tourists, this is the place for you.

The Mulia Villas, Nusa Dua

The abodes are located adjacent to the beach and come equipped with exquisite bathroom setups (including heated toilets), private hydrotherapy pools, king-sized beds and your own personal butler. Mulia Villas also offer a number of daily activities and cooking classes, along with access to eight different onsite restaurants – meaning you’ll never go hungry.

Dea Villas, Berawa

The world-class Dea Villas can be found in the rural area of Berawa, close to Canggu, and consist of four tropical garden villas modelled on more traditional Balinese designs. Each villa can be rented separately (for a romantic rendezvous) or together (for large groups), and occupy multiple pavilions with private gardens and waterfall-fed swimming pools.

The walkways and outdoor spaces are covered with antiques and artefacts while you can cycle through the nearby rice fields on your way to the beach. This is Bali heritage meets modern chic in a gorgeous location you won’t want to leave.

Villa Issi also comes with staff available at any hour of the day or night to cook dinner, do your laundry or, most importantly, mix you a drink at the poolside bar.
