Yesterday TripAdvisor released their 2017 Travellers’ Choice for Hotels awards, crunching the data on millions of reviews from around the world and highlighting the hotels that received the best reviews on the site over the last year.

While TripAdvisor is by no means a perfect indication as the quality of a hotel or restaurant (due to the fact reviews are subjective and a reviewer might not necessarily have the same taste as you), you can generally get a good indication on what a place is going to be like by checking out reviews on the site. This years top 10 list was topped by the stunning Pinetrees Lodge on Lord Howe Island and is bookended by the Big4 Beacon Resort in Queenscliff, Victoria (which shows that it’s not just luxury accommodations that rise to the top). Without any further ado, here’s the list of the 10 best hotels in Australia.
