It’s been four months now since Australians were told they couldn’t go overseas. To be honest, even though I used to do it often thanks to a fantastic gig here at Boss Hunting, either the reality still hadn’t sunk in yet, or I really didn’t miss it as much as I thought I would.
Then I saw the Travel & Leisure Top 100 Hotels in the world list, and I almost cried. Everything from remote safari lodges to high-rise palaces towering over some of the world’s most popular cities made a list that spans six continents.
Properties were rated in Travel & Leisure’s World’s Best Survey, which closed on March 2nd (impeccable timing). Each hotel was judged on facilities, location, service, food, and overall value.
South-East Asia, particularly Bali and Thailand, was well-represented this year. Bali’s Capella Ubud took out the top spot in 2020 followed closely by a tight top 20, which you can check out below.
