Thanks to the extremely positive early reactions, John Wick: Chapter 4 has already earned itself the franchise’s highest Rotten Tomatoes score: 93%.

Effectively, the forthcoming instalment starring Keanu Reeves, Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgard, and Ian McShane has become the long-running action film series’ first-ever entry to crack the 90% threshold, having danced extremely close in the past.

For reference, here’s where each of the preceding three stands in terms of RT ratings:

  • John Wick (2014)
    86% Tomatometer | 81% Audience Score
  • John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017)
    89% Tomatometer | 85% Audience Score
  • John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019)
    89% Tomatometer | 86% Audience Score

But for those of you who are still unconvinced that we’re in for a cracking, check out what the critics have said so far:

In addition to the names listed above, you can expect onscreen appearances from Hiroyuki Sanada, Scott Adkins, Shamier Anderson, Rina Sawayama, Clancy Brown, Natalia Tena, as well as the late Lance Reddick reprising his role as Charon – concierge at the Continental Hotel in New York.

John Wick: Chapter 4 has been helmed by franchise director and stunt extraordinaire Chad Stahelski, who has once again been handed a screenplay penned by Shay Hatten (John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum). This time around, however, Hatten collaborated with Michael Finch (American Assassin).

As for a release date, you’ll be able to witness the fast-paced action with your own eyes later this week starting from March 23rd, 2023 – check out the trailer below.
